This striped western shirt was worn by the character "Stewart McMillan," portrayed by actor Rock Hudson, in the television show, "McMillan and Wife." The shirt is constructed of a red/blue/tan striped cotton and was custom made for Mr. Hudson's use by Machin Shirt Makers. The original Machin custom tailoring label is sewn inside the collar with "Made especially for Rock Hudson" and date "July 1971" clearly typed.
Mr. Hudson wore this shirt during the first season of the award winning television series, including the very first regular episode, "Murder by the Barrel," as well as "The Easy Sunday Murder Case," and "Death is a Seven Point Favorite."
