This suit was worn by the character "Jason Colby" portrayed by legendary actor Charlton Heston in the television series "The Colbys", which ran from 1985 - 1987. The outfit consists of a light brown pinstripe coat with matching pants and vest. The garments were custom made for the actor by Joe Klapperman of Beverly Hills, and the jacket and pants have the original tailoring labels sewn inside with the name "Charlton Heston" and production dates "Sept. 1985" and "Oct. 1985" handwritten in black ink.
Jason Colby wore this outfit in numerous episodes of the show's first season. The series was a spin off from the popular television series "Dynasty" where Heston's character appeared in three episodes.
