This brown cotton tie was worn by Roy Hobbs (Robert Redford) in the iconic film, “The Natural.” Purchased specifically for Mr. Redford, the tie was made by “Botany” out of original 1930s cotton fabric with a feather plume print.
Worn towards the end of the film when “The Judge” is trying to bribe Roy to purposely loose the game. This tie is a signature piece from "The Natural," which many fans consider one of the finest baseball films ever made. The film was nominated for four Academy Awards, including Best Supporting Actress (Glenn Close), and nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress (Kim Basinger).
