This tan dress shirt with white stripes was worn by the character Henry Gondorff portrayed by actor Paul Newman in the 1973 award winning film classic “The Sting” starring Robert Redford. Mr. Newman wore the shirt during the sequence where Gondorff practices his card skills on a train in preparation for a big game. The garment is in excellent screen worn condition and comes with the original Nat Wise label with the initial labels "PN" and the production date Feb. 1973. The Sting won 9 Academy Awards in 1974, including Best Picture, Best Director (George Roy Hill), and Best Costume Design (for legendary costumer Edith Head). Robert Redford was also nominated for Best Leading Man for his performance in the film. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity.
