This red and white polka dot halter-top and sun hat were worn by singer Katy Perry on the album cover for her 2008 release “One Of The Boys”. The vintage spaghetti strap wrap top has white trim at the bust line and ties at the side. The vintage dark blue hat is constructed of woven straw and features an oversized floppy brim.
Ms. Perry is pictured on the album cover wearing these items while reclining on a folding lawn chair in a vibrantly colorized outdoor setting. The color of the hat was digitally altered to a bright blue for the final version. The singer also appeared wearing the hat in a separate promotional image for the album in which the color was altered to bright pink.
“One Of The Boys” was Perry’s second studio album and first major label release. The record featured the Billboard Hot 100 number one single “I Kissed A Girl” and earned her two Grammy Award nominations in 2009 and 2010. The album remains one of her most popular to date and has sold more than 5 million copies worldwide.
The items are in good vintage condition as seen on the cover, and are accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the costume house that provided them for Ms. Perry’s use.
