This nurse costume was worn by the character Julie Nichols portrayed by actress Jessica Lange in the 1982 motion picture Tootsie, which also starred George Gaynes and Geena Davis. The circa 1980’s white cotton nurse uniform by “White Swan Uniforms”, has a button front, patch breast pocket, two slash lower pockets, and self belt. The signature costume was worn by Julie Nichols as her “show-within-a-show” soap opera nurse character “L. Charles RN”.
Ms. Lange won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Julie Nichols. The garments are in excellent screen used condition. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the costume house.
