This dress was worn by the character “Bobby Duran” portrayed by Lena Olin in the 1990 motion picture “Havana”, starring Robert Redford and Alan Arkin. The custom made light pink, scoop neck dress with light floral pattern has self-covered buttons, and gathered waist. Ms. Olin wears this dress prior to being tortured and is slightly distressed from the filming of this scene.
Director Sydney Pollack work with his brother Costume Designer Bernie Pollack on this production. Bernie dressed nearly 2,000 extras and obtained 10,000 costumes for the numerous changes in the film. Film fact, the old town of Havana was recreated in the Dominican Republic with the main set measuring nearly a quarter of a mile long, taking twenty weeks to build.
The costume is in good screen worn condition and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the costume house.
