This suit was worn by the character “Joe Larson” portrayed by Warren Hill in the 1936 motion picture “Bengal Tiger”. The period grey and blue plaid wool three-piece suit has a notch lapel, two button closure, three patch pockets, vest with four patch pockets, six button front closure, matching pants with double pleated front, slash pockets, and button with zip fly closure. Internal jacket pocket has “PAR 3 pc.” hand written, internal vest label with “Hull” inscribed and bias tape with “M09” and “Prod 991”. The internal waist band of the pants has “Paramount 3 pc., Warren Hull – Dble” hand written in black ink. Shirt and tie have been added for display purposes only and are not included with this costume.

Mr. Larson wears this suit in the final scene of the film when “Cliff Ballenger” (Barton MacLane) knocks him out and traps him in a cage with Bengal tigers. A copy of the production photo still is included with this costume. This suit is in good vintage condition, and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the costume house.
