This coat was worn by the character “Joy” portrayed by actress Jennifer Lawrence in the 2015 motion picture “Joy”, co-starring Bradley Cooper and Robert DeNiro. This vintage 1970’s black cashmere wool blend overcoat has a notch lapel, raglan sleeves and a belted back. A belt was added to the coat in the film to cinch the waist and is not included.
Ms. Lawrence wears this garment while at a funeral with her father (Robert DeNiro) and places flowers on the coffin. “Joy” is a bio-pic that centers on the life of Joy Mangano, a self-made millionaire who overcame personal and professional obstacles to rise to the top.
