Mr. Ferrell can be seen wearing the jacket and pants in various scenes, most notably when Ron and his team get lost in an alley and run into rival news teams. After Ron steps to the center of the circle and lays down the ground rules for a battle, a cartoonish and violent fight erupts, until police sirens scare them all off. The faux bloodstain on the pants is from when “Wes Mantooth” (Vince Vaughn) stabs Ron during battle, but it isn’t seen on screen. The suit is worn again later when he and “Veronica Corningstone” (Christina Applegate) get into a fight in the newsroom after Veronica tells Ron he has bad hair.
The dress shirt was worn during the win a date with Veronica contest in the office. Farrell takes the shirt off to show off his "guns", and in the "erection in the office" scene.
“Anchorman” centers around Ron Burgundy, San Diego’s top rated news anchor in the 1970’s, his world is turned upside down when an ambitious woman, Veronica Corningstone, is hired as his co-anchor. This film is considered one of the funniest films of all time and Ron Burgundy was ranked #26 in Empire magazine’s list of “The 100 Greatest Movie Characters”.
