This hunt coat was worn by the “Countess Valentine” character portrayed by actress Myrna Loy in the 1932 motion picture musical “Love Me Tonight” starring Maurice Chevalier and Jeanette MacDonald. The coat is constructed of red wool with blue and yellow collar, cuffs, flap pockets, and the original Buttons have been replaced. Interior “Paramount Atelier, Hollywood, Cal” label is sewn into the collar, also attached is a Paramount tag with “Par 3860-4WF” written in black ink. Ms. Loy wore the coat in numerous scenes during the fox hunting sequence of the film.
