This suit was worn by character “Elliot Ness” portrayed by Kevin Costner in the 1987 film “The Untouchables”, costarring Sean Connery and Robert DeNiro. The suit was custom made for Costner by Armani for the production and consists of a two-tone blue woven stripe three-piece suit. The jacket has notched lapels, two lower slash pockets and two button front closure (Internal pocket inscribed “Ness Roof Only,” “Par 3pc”, with Western Costume Label “23268-1, Kevin Costner, 40” clearly typed), matching vest with four slash pockets and five button front closure inscribed (43 3Pc, lower right pocket has “Ness” inscribed), and matching pants with double pleat front, button fly, and cuff inscribed (Paramount, PAR, 32-30 3PC).

Mr. Costner wears this suit during his final encounter with Frank Nitti (Billy Drago). While leaving the courthouse Nitti pulls a gun on Ness and flees to the roof where a back and forth shootout ends in Ness throwing Nitti off of the roof, killing him.
