This costume was worn by the character “Frank Abagnale” portrayed by actor Christopher Walken in the 2002 motion picture “Catch Me If You Can,” starring Leonardo DiCaprio and co-starring Tom Hanks. The costume consists of a custom made two-piece grey wool pinstripe suit with white pocket square and internal Dominic Gherardi label with "Christopher Walken March 2002" typed in black ink, white dress shirt with internal Anto Beverly Hill label and "CW April 2002", navy tie, white undershirt, and black dress socks. Small repairs have been made on the navy tie. Attached are four costume production tags with "Frank Sr, Change #s Sc. 26, 28, & 81" with various costume information.
Mr. Walken wears this suit while at lunch with "Frank Abagnale Jr." (Leonardo DiCaprio), who surprises him with keys to a 1965 Cadillac Coupe Deville. Directed by Steven Spielberg, “Catch Me If You Can,” is based on the true story of the most successful bank robber in U.S. history, Frank Abagnale, Jr., on the run from FBI Agent Carl Hanratty (Tom Hanks), who makes it his mission to bring Frank to justice. Christopher Walken was nominated for Best Actor in a Supporting Role at the 2003 Academy Awards.
