This shirt was worn by the character “Steve Trevor” played by Lyle Waggoner in the television series, “Wonder Woman.” This khaki long sleeve military shirt has two flap patch pockets, epaulets, and circular blue patch with gold wings, white star, and red dot. Inscribed on the inside collar are the initials “LW”. The collar insignia pins are added for display purposes only, and are not included with the sale.

Mr. Waggoner can be seen wearing this shirt throughout the entire series, and most prominently in the pilot episode, “The New Original Wonder Woman” which first aired on November 7th, 1975. Steve Trevor can be seen in the shirt when captured by a group of Germans working for the “Nazi Fifth Columnists”. While under a state of hypnosis, his friend “Marcia” (Stella Stevens) tries to get Steve to reveal the combination to the safe. Wonder Woman comes to Steve’s rescue after defeating Marcia. She uses her bracelets to fight off the thugs and frees Steve, but Wonder Woman leaves before he has a chance to meet her.

Wonder Woman premiered on ABC with a 90-minute pilot as a made for television movie. The premiere was a rating success and the show was quickly moved into full production. The series starred Lynda Carter in the title role, as well as Lyle Waggoner as Steve Trevor, who fought alongside her. This garment is in great condition, and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity.
