This brown two-piece sleeveless outfit was worn by the character "Valerie Hayden Miller," portrayed by actress Susan Hayward, in the 1964 motion picture, "Where Love Has Gone." The blouse and skirt both have the original Paramount Pictures labels sewn inside with the name "Susan Hayward" clearly handwritten in black ink.

Ms. Hayward wore the outfit near the end of the film where she flees from the courtroom during her daughter's murder trial and drives home emotionally distraught before committing suicide in her home. The dress was created by legendary fashion designer Edith Head. "Where Love Has Gone" was a landmark drama of its era, and the popularity of its theme song 'Where Love Has Gone' resulted in the film being nominated for an Academy Award for Best Music/Original Song in 1965.

Both garments are in very good screen worn condition and are accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the costume house. Presented by The Golden Closet, your premier source for iconic screen used wardrobe, props, and music entertainment memorabilia.
