This non-firing prop Sig 55X machine gun with folded stock was used by the character “Evelyn Salt” portrayed by actress Angelina Jolie in the 2010 motion picture “Salt” also starring Liev Schreiber. This prop weapon is an exact replica of the live firing machine gun that Salt uses in several key scenes of the final battle sequence with "Ted Winter" (Schreiber) that takes place in the underground President’s Emergency Operations Center (PEOC) beneath the White House. The folded stock version of the live firing gun was primarily used in the action scenes where Salt fights her way through the hallways surrounding the PEOC.
The gun was molded directly from the live firing weapon with folded stock and was purposefully made for use in sequences where the more compact version of the gun would allow the actress to run around corners and narrow walkways with ease. This gun was also used during several pick up shots in the sequence where Salt talks to Winter through the bulletproof Plexiglas window of the PEOC inner chamber, and during some blocking of scenes between filming. The prop weapon is in good screen used condition as seen in the film.
