This prop display box was used by the character “Bernie Rose” portrayed by actor Albert Brooks in the 2011 motion picture “Drive” starring Ryan Gosling. The box is constructed of a black polished wood case with red cloth interior and has a decorative gold frame glass window lid with metal hinges and locking clasp on the front.
The box was used in the scene at Bernie’s house following his lethal confrontation with “Shannon” (Bryan Cranston). After returning home from Shannon’s garage, Bernie washes the man’s blood off his straight razor before placing it alongside several other knives stored in this box.
