This prop hammer was used by the character “Driver” portrayed by actor Ryan Gosling in the 2011 motion picture “Drive”. The prop is constructed of molded rubber with hand painted metal and wood details.
This is one of the most iconic prop items from the film and was used in the pivotal scene when Driver tracks down “Cook” (James Biberi) at the strip club and pins him to the ground while threatening to drive a bullet into his forehead with the hammer. Driver uses the hammer to pry open the gangster’s mouth and forces him to swallow a bullet before convincing him to call his boss “Nino” (played by Ron Perlman). Driver also appeared with the hammer in numerous promotional images and posters for the film.
The prop item is in good condition with minor evidence of distress from its use during filming and was acquired directly from the production company. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity. Presented by The Golden Closet, your premier source for iconic screen used wardrobe, props, and music entertainment memorabilia.
