This non-firing prop Glock 19 with leather Galco hip holster was used by the character “Terry Hoitz” portrayed by actor Mark Wahlberg in the 2010 action comedy film “The Other Guys” starring Will Ferrell and Eva Mendez.
This gun and holster set was utilized by Wahlberg throughout the film and the first time you see the prop Glock onscreen is when Terry forces his partner Allen Gamble (Ferrell) at gunpoint to leave the police station to investigate a cocaine bust crime scene with him. Hoitz also brandishes the prop weapon inside of Gamble’s red Prius when he threatens to shoot his partner in the leg, making him panic and plow through the crime scene, running over a body and causing pounds of cocaine to explode onto the hood of his car. The gun and holster combination is also seen clearly in several other key scenes from the film, such as when Hoitz visits Gamble’s house for dinner, when he and Gamble attempt to arrest shady investor David Ershon (Steve Coogan) and are ambushed by private agents posing as Ershon’s “security”, and when the mini mart gets blown up.
The prop gun is constructed of dense rubber and was used in scenes where a live firing weapon was unnecessary and during the filming of stunt sequences. Both items are in good screen used condition as seen in the film and are accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the weapons specialist who oversaw their use on the production.
