| This non-firing prop Glock 19 with leather Galco belt holster was used by the character “Allen Gamble” portrayed by actor Will Ferrell in the 2010 action comedy film “The Other Guys” starring Mark Wahlberg and Eva Mendez. Mr. Ferrell first appears wearing the Glock and belt holster in the police station scene when Gamble takes verbal abuse from his disgruntled partner Terry Hoitz (portrayed by Mark Wahlberg), and in the following sequence when Gamble fires his weapon inside the station after being tricked by fellow officers into believing he needs to do an “Office Pop”. After Gamble has his sidearm confiscated and replaced with a wooden dummy gun, he continues to wear this leather holster in multiple other scenes throughout the movie. Later in the film Gamble gets his Glock back after being demoted to walking a beat, and briefly uses a live firing version onscreen when performing an “Apartment Pop” inside of Terry’s home.
The prop gun is constructed of dense rubber and was used in scenes where a live firing weapon was unnecessary and during the filming of stunt sequences, and the Galco holster was used onscreen with the wooden, prop, and live firing Glocks. Both items are in good screen used condition as seen in the film and are accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the weapons specialist who oversaw their use on the production.
