Another year has passed here at The Golden Closet and we’re looking forward to an exciting 2009. To kick off the year, we are proud to offer a wide variety of new entertainment memorabilia to the collecting community. We are continually adding more items to our website and will be participating in more live auctions in the coming year, so be sure to bookmark our site and subscribe to our mailing list to keep appraised of all the new additions to our collection.
In the category of Westerns, we are pleased to offer Jimmy Stewart’s coat worn in Cheyenne Autumn, Kim Darby’s jacket worn in True Grit, and key wardrobe changes from the series Deadwood, including signature outfits worn by all the principle characters. Some of these items will be featured in the upcoming High Noon Auction to be held Feb. 7th in Pheonix Arizona. Additional information on the auction can be found on their website www.highnoon.com.
We have also recently acquired some impressive additions to our collection of Music related memorabilia, including key wardrobe pieces worn by Britney Spears in the video for the title track of her comeback album “Circus” which debuted at #1 on the U.S. charts upon its release. We will also be offering a stage worn jumpsuit originally from the estate of the legendary “Godfather of Soul”, James Brown. In addition, we have also added several items to our website that were worn by characters in the motion picture “Grease” and “Grease 2”.
Several of our principle Sopranos items sold at the Christie’s auction in Kensington last month, and we continue to offer additional items from the series for sale via our website, www.thegoldencloset.com. A portion of the proceeds from the ongoing sales of some of our Sopranos wardrobe will be donated to The Wounded Warrior Project, a non-profit charity that provides valuable assistance to disabled U.S. military veterans and their families. We again thank our valued client Mr. James Gandolfini for his continued support of this worthwhile cause. More information on the Wounded Warrior Project can be found at their website www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
Be sure to visit the New Items section of our website to see some of our other latest acquisitions, including key pieces of Sharon Stone’s wardrobe from Casino starring Robert Deniro. More items will be added in the coming weeks, including new wardrobe and props from all your favorite films and television series, from time-honored classics to cutting edge contemporary features. We are always eager to hear from our customers so please feel free to contact us directly with any inquiries or comments regarding our collection. Please email us at info@thegoldencloset.com and one of our representatives will be glad to assist you. We wish all of our friends a very Happy New Year and look forward to hearing from you.
